  1. Download Firmware file (above link). If you have already done? That’s good, if not, then see a Firmware database list
  2. Extract Firmware file into a folder
  3. Download Odin Latest Version – Link
  4. Now switch off your SM-N9208 SM-N9208 and wait 5-8 seconds
  5. Put your SM-N9208 SM-N9208 into Download Mode by Press and hold the Volume Down + Home buttons together, and then press the Power button till you see the construction Android robot and a triangle. Press Power again to confirm to enter into Download Mode.Downloading-Mode
  6. Now run Odin latest version – Download Link
  7. Connect your phone to your PC
  8. Successfully connectivity will show one of the ID: COM boxes will turn yellow with the COM port number. Then POPUP Message arrives under Odin’s message box saying “Added!!”.odin-flash-firmware-instructions
  9. Now click on select these files
  10. Click the PDA Button, and select the .tar file here with *code* appearing in its nameodin2ng
  11. Click the Phone Button, and select file with *modem* in its name (leave it blank if there is no such file)
  12. Click the CSC Button, and select file with *csc* in its name (leave it blank if there is no such file)selecting-multi-firmware-files_thumb
  13. Click the PIT Button, and select the pit file. Use only if you got it while extracting in step 1 above, otherwise ignore it.
  14. In ODIN, Please check the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options ( Re-Partition check box is optional, I prefer to check it if you are using .pit fileunroot-galaxy-s3
  15. Now click on the Start button
  16. Wait until process will complete. On completion of the process your phone will be rebooted and display a message with a green background in the leftmost box at the very top of the Odin. Here you can unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from the computer.

    Hi, does anyone know if I could use this method to install a Philippines firmware instead? The model number is SM-N9208 for both the Philippines and Taiwan.
    I have a Taiwanese N9208 but the Philippines firmware has much better UK English support.
    Any input would be greatly appreciated…
